Paid Search Terms 101
Search Marketing is used to gain traffic and visibility from search engines such as Google through both paid and unpaid methods. It encompasses two different areas: Paid Search and Organic Search.
Paid Search is simply a form of online advertising.
The basic goal is to improve your website’s performance in a search engine and to increase the amount of visitors to your website (which means more leads and more sales). You know when you enter something into Google, and you see two separate sections of results? The handful of text boxes at the top and far right of the page are all advertisements.
Organic Search is another form of online advertising that is unpaid or natural.
It is when strategies are used to make sure a website is accessible to a search engine. The goal is to improve the chances that the website will be found by the search engine, so that a high-ranking placement in the search results page of a search engine is achieved.
